The nests we use. This is the same FlexGrid Nest our own colonies live in. It is designed and built by Crawlspace Habitats, ant keepers who build what they keep. That is why it works. Every detail, from the water well to the sliding doors, came from people who have fought the same dried-out tubes and failed moves you have. We tested them on our own colonies before we put our name next to theirs, and we stand behind every one we ship.

The next room in the kingdom. When your colony outgrows its founding chamber, you don't move it. You add on. Snap the FlexGrid Nest onto the side with a KeySnap connector, slide the door open, and let the workers find it on their own. No forced moves, no stress on the queen.

A water well in the corner takes 4 mL and keeps the gypsum hydrated for over a week. The insert is Ultracal 30 gypsum cement pigmented with pure iron oxide, so it holds moisture evenly and shows off brood beautifully.

Who it's for

This listing ships with the standard-height insert, which suits Camponotus, Novomessor, Messor and Veromessor, and the larger Pogonomyrmex like rugosus, barbatus and badius. Not sure about your species? Email us and we will tell you straight.
