Why We Made This
A founding queen is a living animal with one shot at starting her colony. Almost every queen lost in her first months is lost to a mistake that takes sixty seconds to learn about and a lifetime to regret. So before you buy your first queen from us, we would rather you knew what you were doing.

The Test: 10 out of 10
You need a perfect score. That is deliberate. Any single one of these mistakes can kill a queen, so there is no such thing as a passing grade with one of them still in your head.
Retakes are unlimited and free. This is not a filter, it is a checklist. Miss a question and we will point you back to the exact lesson that covers it. Come back and take it again as many times as you like.
Your Reward
Pass and you earn $10 off your first colony, on any order of $35 or more. You also earn the title. You are an Initiate Keeper, and that is where every ant empire starts.
For Parents
Buying a first colony for a young keeper? Have them take this before the queen arrives. Fifteen minutes here is the difference between a colony that thrives and a first lesson in loss. Sit with them if they are young, it reads easily out loud.
